Pope Leo XIV Appoints Ethiopian Bishop as member to Vatican Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life
Abune Tesfassilasie MCCJ, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Addis Ababa, has been appointed by Pope Leo XIV as a member of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, one of the 16 key dicastery of the Roman Curia.
The Dicastery works to ensure that Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life make progress in following Christ in conformity with the Gospel according to their proper charism stemming from the spirit of the founder and sound traditions, that they faithfully pursue their own ends and contribute effectively to the building up of the Church and to its mission in the world.
The Dicastery is currently led by Sister Simona Brambilla, the first woman in the history of the Catholic Church to serve as Prefect of a Roman Curia office—a trailblazing appointment made by the late Pope Francis. The Dicastery comprises 22 cardinals, 9 bishops, and numerous members from across the globe.
In a recent appointment, Pope Leo XIV named 19 new members to the dicastery, including Abune Tesfassilasie, further strengthening its global representation and advisory strength.
ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ሊዮን 14ኛ ለምንኩስና ሕይወት እና የሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት የሚሰጡ ማኅበራት ተቋም አዳዲስ አባላትን ሾሙ
ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ሊዮን 14ኛ በሮማን ኩሪያ ውስጥ ከሚገኙት 16 ጽ/ቤቶች አንዱ ለሆነው የምንኩስና ሕይወት እና የሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት የሚሰጡ ማኅበራት ተቋም የአዲስ አበባ ሀገረስብከት ረዳት ጳጳስ አቡነ ተስፋስላሴን ጨምረው አዳዲስ አባላትን ሾሙ።
የሮማን ኩሪያ በ16 ጽ/ቤቶች የተደራጀ ሲሆን ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት በሚመርጡት መሪ እና አማካሪ አባላት ይተዳደራል። ከነዚህ አንዱ የሆነው የምንኩስና ሕይወትና ሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት የሚሰጡ ማኅበራት ተቋም፣ በመነኮሳትና በሐዋርያዊ አገልግሎት ሕይወት ጉዳዮችን በማማከር አሰራርን የሚያጠናክር ተቋም ነው።
የቀድሞ ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ፍራንቼስኮስ በካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን ታሪክ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ሴት የኩሪያ አስተዳዳሪ (Prefect ) የመረጡበት ይህ ተቋም በሲስተር ሲሞና ብራምቢያ የሚመራ ሲሆን 22 ካርዲናሎች፣ 9 ጳጳሳትን እና ሌሎችንም በአማካሪነት የያዘ ነው።
ቅዱስነታቸው ሊዮን 14ኛ የአዲስ አበባ ሀገረስብከት ረዳት ጳጳስ ከሆኑት ብፁዕ አቡነ ተስፋስላሴ ጋር ሌሎች 18 አዳዲስ አባላትን መርጠዋል። የተመረጡት አባላት በቫቲካን የሚገኙትን የስራ አስፈፃሚዎችን የማማከር ኃላፊነት የሚኖራቸው ሲሆን ብፁዕ አቡነ ተስፋስላሴ በኢትዮጵያ ከሚኖራቸው ኃላፊነት በተጨማሪ ከአዲስ አበባ ሆነው በዚህ ዘርፍ ቤተክርስቲያንን የሚያገለግሉ ይሆናል።
