Representatives of the Manos Unidas (United Hands) visited Ethiopia

The representatives of Manos Unidas (United Hands) a Spain based charity organization have visited the activities done by the Social Development Commission of the Ethiopian Catholic Church. The repres

entatives Mr. Jorgen Steving and Mrs. Gloria Cavero held a meeting with the senior management members of the General Secretariat of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia on June 14, 2022.

In the brief presentation presented by Ato Bekele Moges the Deputy Secretary General and the Director for the Social Ministry of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, explained the contribution of the Catholic Church in the history of the modern education in Ethiopia was addressed. The current status of the Education service,

the number of employee and students benefited from the service was also discussed.

The two organizations also discussed the way forwards and strategies of cooperation in the future.

Manos Unidas (United Hands) is also supporting the Ethiopian Catholic Church to intervene in emergency responses to the natural and human made disasters arose in different parts of Ethiopia especially in the northern part.
