Education For All

The education service is one of the major apostolic works for which the Catholic Church is widely known around the world. Through the provision of high-quality education, the Church plays a vital role in shaping young minds, preparing them for life’s challenges, and contributing to a society that is both ethical and progressive. The Ethiopian Catholic Church operates 444 schools, ranging from kindergarten to grade 12. Objective

To integrate intellectual and ethical development and nurtures Catholic education in forming responsible citizens who can positively impact their communities. To Promote virtues such as compassion, integrity, and service to others, encouraging students to become leaders guided by faith and reason. Promoting the Church’s commitment to holistic education ensures that young people are not only skilled professionals but also individuals of strong moral character, ready to build a more just and harmonious world. 

Scope

The commitment of Catholic schools to social responsibility allows them to serve both urban and rural populations, offering education as a fundamental right rather than a privilege. By combining donor support with modest parental contributions, these schools continue to foster academic growth and personal development, shaping a brighter future for many children in need.
