PREAMBLE: Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia (CBCE) General Secretariat/ ECS is a non-profit making organization, which executes the mandate given to it by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia in the field of pastoral, social work, human development, welfare and relief works. It is the executive arm of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia.
POSITION: Gender and Inclusion Expert
Job Summary: – Planning, Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of gender and inclusion policies and guidelines in the ECC structures, programs and projects at National and Dioceses level. Provide technical assistance and advises organizational units of ECC-SDCO sectors to design implement, monitor and evaluate projects and activities from the perspective of equitable development for men and women. Work on developing training manuals, guidelines, strategies and checklists of various natures that facilitate the mainstreaming process and gender equality efforts. Monitor and report on implementation of the gender action plan.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: –
EDUCATION: BA/ MA in Gender & Development or Sociology or Psychology or Social
Work or any other social related fields
EXPERIENCE: 6 years for BA or 3 years for MA
NGOs experience is advantageous
DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa
DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT: One year with possible extension
SALARY & BENEFITS As per the salary scale of the organization. Benefits include medical and life insurance
